Cincinnati, Ohio – April 26, 2010 – Bill Goldberg of Cincinnati has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of Healthcare Regional Marketing (HRM) effective April 26, 2010. HRM, founded in 2007, is a marketing services company focused on Regional Marketing solutions for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Goldberg spent the past 12 months assessing HRM's long-term growth potential as Chief Operating Officer. Based on this assessment, Goldberg has made a capital infusion, allowing for continued growth.
In a statement jointly released by Scott Weintraub and Jeff Spanbauer, the company founders said: "Bill has brought a wealth of experience and leadership to HRM, that when combined with the foundation we built previous to him joining the company, has propelled our growth in terms of revenues, profits and personnel. We have grown from 13 employees to nearly 40 during the last 12 months. Bill's experience in institutionalizing business process has brought the stability to a growth organization like ours that sets the stage for the long term. Additionally, with Bill's leadership, we have been able to attract a number of outstanding executives with proven skills."
Goldberg has a 30-year track record of executive leadership and responsibility in the marketing services industry. Prior to HRM, Goldberg was a corporate officer with marketing services company Harte-Hanks. Harte-Hanks is a publicly traded Fortune 1000 international marketing services company (traded on NYSE) that serves numerous vertical industries, including a heavy emphasis in the pharmaceutical industry. In Goldberg's last role at Harte-Hanks, he was leader of the National Markets Organization, which was responsible for sales and marketing that generated more than $600 million annually. Goldberg was instrumental in realigning the organization into seven key vertical markets, including pharmaceutical. Revenues grew more than $200 million during his leadership tenure.
Weintraub and Spanbauer went on to say: "We have great confidence in Bill's leadership. His talent, personal qualities and experience and knowledge of growing marketing service companies provide a strong future for HRM."
Goldberg commented: "Scott and Jeff's vision of Regional Marketing has become a critical component in the overall healthcare marketing mix. They are quality people with vision, intelligence and humility. It has been a privilege to be involved with them and the entire HRM team. We have been fortunate to build a fun, energetic culture that is based on hard work and non-negotiable values. It is a rush for me to work with such smart, energetic people with such positive attitudes. I am very impressed by what HRM has achieved in a short period of time and of the solid momentum we have going forward.
Goldberg, a graduate of the University of Missouri, resides in Cincinnati with his wife Suzy. They have two daughters: Jacquelyn, a senior at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla., and Jillian, who is a freshman at Tulane University in New Orleans.
